Go Colts Go!!!!

Congratulations to the South Ottawa Blues

This past weekend the KBA hosted the 2nd annual Kingston Colts Summer Kickoff major tournament. The city welcomed teams from Smith Falls, South Ottawa, Nepean and Cornwall. All three of the Kingston Colts major level rep teams were also competed in the tournament. The weekend proved that baseball is going strong and there is a lot of youth talent in the area. All 3 Kingston teams played amazing baseball and 2 of the 3 made it to the semi finals. Steve Vallier’s team lost to South Ottawa in semi final game number one and Greg Murphy’s team lost to Cornwall in semi final game number two. Kris Kehoe’s 11U team competed hard but finished just short of qualifying for the semi finals. The final game saw the undefeated, defending champion South Ottawa Blues go up against the Cornwall Riverrats. Cornwall gave it all they had but came up just short making South Ottawa back to back champions. Congratulations to all of the teams that participated, everyone showed amazing sportsmanship and respect for the game. We will see you all next year!!!!!
